ZOMG I’m so excited that I really can’t help posting to say that I’ve just had a quick scan online, and realised that Piglet’s father–Tythrop Tapas–has just won Best of Breed at Crufts for the SECOND TIME!!!
Piglet and Puss-Puss and I are so happy about it! Piglet shed a tear of joy (actually I think the cat may have had a paw in that), and I couldn’t help jumping around the room, even though I’m really not into that Crufts stuff at all. But this is Piglet’s own Daddy, so we can’t help being excited ♥
*goes off to scan the other results*
Edited to add: Piggle’s brother won his age class, and her sister came second in hers. Wow… And Piglet is actually the most lovely of the three of them! *g* And to think we went for camping over showing!

I’m sure Piglet enjoys the camping more than she would the showing – all that standing around can’t be fun after all.
No contest says Moss, give me camping any day xx
WOMGRRFF!!
Hi – just found your blog when searching for Tythrop Tapas. We have just got our new border terrier puppy, his grandfather is also Tythrop Tapas. Father is Tythrop Tamarind (Tetley). We have called our pupppy George! We are in Perth, Western Australia. Our breeder (vet) bought Tetley from England last year.
We are loving having George, and have also got a two year old BT bitch at the same time from another breeder, they are getting along well (although naughty puppy George does enjoy pushing her buttons).
What a lovely breed, we are very happy with them both.
Regards, Giles & Cate
Hi there
How great to hear from one of Piglet’s relatives in Australia! *g* Piglet sends a lick to George.
How interesting that you got a 2 year old bitch at the same time! I’d love to have another dog for Piglet to play with, and it’s possible that we’ll get one next year.
Very best of luck to you with little George and his playmate
Hello Peewiglet,
We also have a border whose grandfather is Tythrop Tapas, his name is Pudding! So called because when we breed him last year he was the biggest and fatest in the litter!!!
We bought Puddings mother Daisy from a breeder 3 yrs ago and decided she needed a playmate so we thought we’d let her make her own! We went back to the breeder we got her from who had just got a new stud dog he had been waiting yrs for Hanway Heaven Sent son of Tythrop Tapas so we used him and what a delightful litter of mischief we were blessed with.
We love the breed and wouldn’t be without them but watch out once you have more than one boy do they hunt!!!
Sx
Hi there
Wee Pudding sounds like a little darling! The thought of Piglet off hunting out of sight in the hedgerows with a second BT makes my hair stand on end!
