Back again (again)

Hello peeps. I’m back!

I’m sorry for the prolonged absence. I’ve been bogged down in depression for much of the last couple of years, and when that happens I tend to retreat a bit. Things are looking up, though, and so here I am again.

Corsican Free-Range Piglet

Corsican Piglet

I’ve just returned from the GR20, and I’ve spent much of the last week and a half writing it up. It’s almost driven me round the bend! Anyway, if anyone’s interested in the GR20 then do take a look. There are loads of photos, as well as some little films and the usual ton of waffle ๐Ÿ™‚ If you take a look then please let me know what you think.

Well, I hope y’all are well…

    Hello there Missy!

Just spent the better part of today reading your adventure. And an excellent read it is too!

    Great to have you back

    Cheers
    Alan

Doh… I’m such a techno-ignoramus that I didn’t realise you’d sent your message from here. I thought it was an email.

Thanks for the welcome back, and I’m glad you enjoyed the GR20 thingy ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Martin Rye says:

Long read and a good one that GR20 walk you did. Good photos as well.

  4. peewiglet says:

Thanks, Martin. I’m glad you enjoyed. Thanks for reading ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. The Corsican PW? So, is it you, or your twin separated at birth???

Think I’ll save my reading to savour for tomorrow… oops, now today.

Brain stuff is annoying. We are such fickle creatures that a simple imbalance in chemicals can cause us such terrible problems. If there’s a solution better than standing out amongst Nature and marvelling at it, I’ve yet to find it. Of course, I’m skirting over such times as being attacked by midges, turned back by rivers in spate, and sodding ticks. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  6. peewiglet says:

Heh… I’m not sure whether it’s me or not. It’s either me or someone just like me I saw in the door ๐Ÿ™‚

Yeah, all that brain stuff is just too, too confusing… *head spins*

Shirl. A hug from Dawn, good to see you back. So much has happened, loads of surgery meaning a long haul to get any semblence of fitness back on the hill. Good to see you are still out and about. Now i must o reading your Corsica trip, although I will turn green with envy. Your photos, as ever, are excellent. My camera is very limited which can be frustrating at times. Hopefully we shall meet up sometime. Dawn.

  8. peewiglet says:

    Thanks, Dawn ๐Ÿ™‚

    **hugs back**

Thanks for your kind words about my photos. I’ve been enjoying yours over at your blog, and they don’t look limited at all to me.

Are you finally getting fit again now?

  9. Dawn says:

Yep, finally getting something resembling a degree of fitness. Mind, things are a tad different now, which means carrying a few extra bits on the hill and in winter it can be interesting. Dawn.

Good to have you back. Look forward to the rest of the C2C ๐Ÿ˜‰

  11. David Albon says:

    Hi Shirl!

You’re back! I just cottoned on on another blog and came over here to see for myself. Off now to start reading your GR20 report.

    Hugs,

    David

PS want to go dance on top of a big rock??!!

  12. peewiglet says:

Thanks, Robin ๐Ÿ™‚ Eep! I really must go and finish that C2C now…

    **guilty**

  13. peewiglet says:

    Hello David!

It’s good to be back. And yes, I’d love to go and dance on top of a big rock! ๐Ÿ™‚

I hope you like the GR20 report. If you persist with it you’ll find that I was practising my dancing in anticipation of my next Challenge bop… *g*

    The legend returns! ๐Ÿ™‚

Good ole Google Reader – I’d have missed you for longer without that…

  15. peewiglet says:

Hello! Thanks for the welcome back ๐Ÿ™‚

I’ve just added your blog into my blogroll, and I’m about to go and take a proper look at yours. It looks ace!

  16. Gayle says:

And another (albeit slightly belated) welcome back from over here.

Finished reading your GR20 write-up last night. Absolutely fantastic was my verdict. Particularly liked that wee video clip at the end of Day 14!

  17. peewiglet says:

    Hello Gayle ๐Ÿ™‚

Many thanks indeed for your very kind words about my GR20 thing, and for welcoming me back. I’m v. glad you liked the wee video (heh…)

  18. Windy says:

    Good to have you back

  19. peewiglet says:

Thanks Windy ๐Ÿ™‚ Sorry for the delay in responding–for some reason I’ve only just spotted this!
