Finally tracked down ace tune I keep hearing as TV background!

Though I prefer the instrumental version. Still looking for that one.

Kudos to the BBC, btw. I’m so used to hearing great music as TV background and being unable to track it down that I almost didn’t bother to Google “The wonder of dogs +music”, but I did, and–lo and behold–there was a list of all 27 pieces of music they’d played in the background. Fantastic! I first heard this tune a couple of months ago on the Miranda Hart tribute to Eric Morecambe, but despite much Googling and questions on web forums I couldn’t identify it. Made my day to find it this afternoon. Good for the BBC!

  1. Wurz says:

If you use a smartphone or ipad/phone there is a free app called Shazam. When you hear a song on the radio or tv simply start the app. it will listen to it for about 10 seconds and then magically match it somehow to it’s online database and tell you the song and the artist along with a link to the apple store or amazon if you wanted to actually buy it rather than rip it from You Tube or find it on Spotify (if you have something like that or Napster). It’s really good for the sort of thing you’ve been looking for here.
