Much redecorating going on here.
Now that I have my darling Piglet home (she sends lix, btw) I’m spending a happy afternoon trawling YouTube for some of the things that helped me run up the steep, steep hillies and get through the long, cold nights.
Here are a few of them: some of the ones that accompany me on every walk. Happy memories!
There are lots more but I’m sure that’s enough for now.
Well, almost. Here’s my favourite ever walking song. This has been the accompaniment to many a secret boogie on a high hill, far away 🙂
Wonderful music, and an interesting animation! (The video does play, btw: just give it 20 seconds or so to get going, or drag the bar along a bit.)
This next one’s one of my favourite tunes of all time. I can’t believe I’ve not put it up before!
Here are two versions. The first is prolly my favourite these days, for fairly obvious reasons, but the second was the one I first heard. Embarrassingly (but that’s never stopped me before…), I bought the single and left it secretly on a desk in the physics lab for one of the physics teachers (Mr Amundsen), when I was about 14. I had a crush on him at the time *g*
Kudos to Camille Saint-Saens. I hope he isn’t spinning in his grave!
