I’ve just eaten as delicious a steak as I’ve *ever* eaten.
I bought a lovely, thick rump steak from the Westmoreland Farm Shop yesterday, and cooked it this evening. Two minutes on each side. A baked potato and a little salad. Heaven!

Did mustard feature in this magnificent scenario? A cheeky dab of Colemans on the side? A suave insinuation of Dijon in the dressing? Or perhaps a grainy blob of Meaux? (Piglet, this is how French cats say hello)
There was a little scrummy Dijon 🙂 I wanted to try to make bearnaise sauce but didn’t have the ingredients in the end, and possibly not the skillz either. May well try that for this evening, though! Yum!!
I think we should all take another of those two minutes to think of the beautiful animal that was slain for your insatiable appetite.
Heartless!
Did you add a little sprinkle of sea salt? How did you dress your salad? I can smell it cooking as I sip a cheeky little Gigondas…
Yes! Poor wee beastie 😦
I did add a sprinking of sea salt. Salt is mandatory. Salad was dressed in a drizzle of olive oil, a squeeze of lemon and a small pink tutu.
